On 4th December, NSBproject, as a new member of the association, attended the EAIC‘s year-end event, Research Rewired 2024.
This brought together Europe’s leading innovation and research experts to explore how EU research and innovation policy can create a better, fairer, and more competitive Europe.
The NSB EU projects department team, represented by Andrea Jester and Riccardo Varotto, was a valuable opportunity to network with key EAIC members, working group representatives, and meet the new Secretary General, Paul Walsh, and EAIC President, Luc Ragon.
As EAIC’s end-of-year event, we kicked off with an internal brainstorming session dedicated to defining and communicating our sector’s value. Innovation consultants bridge the gap between companies, research organisations and policymakers. How can we leverage this position? How do we ensure that EU research and innovation policies are aligned with the needs of society?
Then through a series of interactive panel discussions, we explored shifting priorities in EU funding, the importance of collaboration to drive breakthrough technologies, and the opportunities for innovation consultants to support these efforts.

The event also offered a great opportunity to strengthen your connection with the EAIC and learn how to become more actively involved in shaping the future of European research and innovation.
We highlighted the value that innovation consultants can bring to navigating the complex landscape of EU research, capitalising on the results of R&D projects, and making strategic investments in R&D through effective go-to-market strategies and robust methodologies.
